My parents didn't think they were going to make it over that day, but they did. They were thinking they were going to have to wait until the next morning and head over for the big shindig (which I will post about next) but Dad got home earlier than expected. It was a fun surprise for Jared and the girls too.
A few pictures from his special day.
He got a much needed haircut that morning.
Thanks Auntie Reba
He is such a stud!
It is rather hard to get a nice normal smile from this kid.
Once Nana and Papa got here and Daddy got home from work we did presents.
He got a new Nerf thingy.
And two Ninjago sets!
He was so excited.
He got to work right away on building.
He asked for Daddy Roni's for dinner and ...
Pumpkin Pie!
He had an excellent day overall. I can't believe my little Buddy and baby boy is getting so big!
The yearly comparison...
Just moments after he was born and hours before I was able to hold him.
Little temple and cheek bruised.
First birthday
Day after second birthday going for a ride in his new wagon.
Third birthday
Messy Forth birthday cupcake face.
He didn't want to pick it up.
Fifth birthday
Sixth birthday
Something changed between ages 5 and 6.
Then now, Seventh birthday. So handsome and grown up looking!
Weighing 45 pounds and 48 inches tall

I love this boy more then any other little boy ever! He is a wonderful kid with many awesome qualities. He is brilliant and doesn't let it go to his head. He is very quick learner and I love being able to spend extra time with him here at home. I love that he loves his family and spending time with us. He is a bit too grown up in some ways that I wish didn't bother him, but that also makes him who he is. I love everything about him and I'm so glad that he is part of our family.
Love you Peanut!

We love him too and were so glad to be able to share his special day this year.
I had a chance to see all of your kids' birthday posts, and I loved seeing how they've grown! I feel a lot of guilt that I haven't taken a photo of my kids in what seems like months. You are so good at keeping up with that!
