So many random thoughts

So this post is going to be a bit of this and that.  My mind is a jumble of all sorts of stuff, and I blame my not being able to focus on many different things. Clears that right up doesn't it!

So in order to make sure I mention what I want to I am going to list them all and then explain them later.

1. Rugrats
2. Dentist
3. Sliding

Rugrats Pictures, Images and Photos

So first off on the list was Rugrats.  I'm sure the majority of you remember the old 90's Nickelodeon Show Rugrats.  The only time I watched it was while babysitting, and at the time and until recently I thought it was a cute harmless show that was entertaining for young kids.  The kids I watched loved it and it seemed fine to me.
We recently got rid of our cable TV in order to cut un-needed expenses.  That being done we needed something, so we got Netflix.  We were trying to find something new and fun for Jared to watch and we came across Rugrats.  Jared loved it, and it was pretty funny to see some old episodes again.  Then we noticed the CHANGE.  Jared started talking and acting like Angelica.  He was becoming extremely whiny, snotty, rude and doing things to be purposefully mean to Allyson.  Yes some of that is to be expected, but wow. We had about 2 weeks of this and I mentioned to Aaron that I thought I was seeing Angelica through Jared and he agreed.  No more Rugrats.
Just yesterday I mentioned to Aaron that Jared's behavior is so much better again and he said that he was just about to say the same thing.  Seriously the change that that show brought upon and then the change back is crazy.  I've always been a believer that TV does influence a person, but to see it personally and in such a dramatic way was very eye opening and interesting.

Next up on the list the Dentist.  We got Jared's consult for the cavity fixes and he is set to go in September 13th.  They have 1 day a month that they do little kids so that is our date.  Jared was great and I know that things will be fine, but I did not like our experience at this other clinic.  I told Aaron that once this appointment is over I am not going back.  I will continue our visits for checkups at the clinic here, which was much more pleasant.  I have felt horrible about this whole situation for a while now, especially after his appointments I cried myself to sleep a few nights due to guilt.  His appointment this last week was going fine until the dentist walked in and started talking to me like I was seriously mentally challenged.  He made me feel worse about the whole thing and then he didn't even answer all my questions.  Like HOW they are going to put Jared under?
Either way, the Clinic has great reviews, so I know Jared is in skilled and qualified hands, but I am not going back there once the 13th is over.

Last for this post.
Last weekend my Parental Unit came over.  There was no real reason except for the fact that they hadn't been here since last October and they wanted to see the kids.  We hung around went to the playground and also the lake for a picnic.  It was a fun weekend.  Ally had a hard time at the playground.  Her and Jared love slides, the bigger the bigger as far as they are concerned.  She often needs to go down first and if she makes it Jared knows he will be fine.  Seems a bit backwards I know.
Well this particular time Jared went down first, which was good for him cuz this is what happened.  We didn't realized that she was like this until it was too late! Poor girl landed on her face and had a mark on her eye. It's alright to laugh at the picture we all did (once we knew she was alright that is!) and she was alright after a few minutes, she's tough!

There are a few other things that I want to mention but this post is long enough so those will be saved for another time.

I know! I never catch a photo of my kids hurting themselves. I admit I'm slightly jealous.

I hope Ally heals quickly, and that she's still brave enough to go down the slides.

I had a few other things I was going to comment on but once I got to the last photo of Ally.... Oh my goodness, what a funny shot! Glad she is OK, but there has to be some reward for this unplanned shot. :)

HAHAHA! I love the last picture! And I agree with Rugrats, we had the same problem with Emma. She now watches Fraggle Rock on Netflix. :)
