I love this face and would and will do anything to keep this face happy, healthy and safe.
That being said the last few weeks this face has been trying my patience more than ever. He has started the fibbing stage. Nothing serious, just little fibs like, saying he didn't do something when he did, or stuff like that. I know it is a stage, but it's frustrating. He also loves to torment his sister doing things that he knows will make her mad.
Yesterday he made me feel like the worst mom ever cuz I wouldn't let him play outside with the big kids (meaning the 6 year olds) all by himself. It wasn't the fact that he just wanted to play outside, I couldn't be out there to watch him, I was trying to get us all ready for errands. The "Big Kids" were saying they would watch him and he would be fine, but no, sorry I wasn't going to leave my 3 year old in their care, especially since I watch these same kids running in the road, doing other things that their parents let them do that isn't safe in my book. Anyway, Jared was so sad and got so mad. Am I overly protective? He is only 3.
Anyway he finally got over that fit and meltdown and we had to get to the store. While doing his hair I thought I would try something fun, and it matched his attitude of the day, Spunky! I did it as a joke, but honestly I think it works for him. What do you think?

Everyone needs a protective mother and you were right not to leave him alone with 6 yr olds.
I also agree with your mom. I won't even let me kids play in our front yard, other kids playing or not, unless David or I are out there. AND I totally dig his new hair. Think I mentioned it on fb, but if L's hair would do that I would. I have tried to talk David in to doing his hair like that and he won't. LOL
I LOVE the spikey hair! You are not too protective...like you said, he IS only 3.
Keep up the good work. It's hard I know!
