Weekend stuff and more.

This last weekend we made the journey over to Tacoma to see my family. It had been almost exactly 2 months since we had been and it was time to go see them and play. We weren't sure how the weather was going to hold up, but it turned out pretty good and we were able to go to Pt. Defiance Zoo Saturday morning.

Jared remembered the slide from the last time he went down it over a year ago which resulted with Papa helping him.  He was excited to try it again this time.

Last time

This time. I had to go up and help him get settled, but he was fine after the first time down. He loved the slide. If he only weighed more and would lift his shoes off the slide a bit more he would've gone down faster, but that's alright he loved it.

He was a bit cautious about feeding the goats but with Nanas help and watching Papa he did it!

Ally at the end of our Zoo experience.  Jared wasn't far behind her.  They had a good time and were exhausted.

Now for another part of the weekend, and actually the same day.  After the snoozes and lunch we headed outside to play in the yard with Uncle Steve!  First of all here are my kids' little tiny bums.  I have to laugh when I see them running.  They are seriously lacking in the bum department.

Just a cute profile shot I got of Jared.

Then finally last night!

We were sitting down eating dinner and since Ally was having a hard time with her fork I found a Spork that we had gotten a while back at a restaurant. Her very first bite she turned it sideways and SNAP, she broke it and before we could swipe it out of her mouth a piece was gone. No where to be found. I wasn't real comfortable with the thought of a sharp triangular shape piece of plastic floating around he insides, so after a call to Doctor he recommended taking her to the ER to be sure. This is her 4th or 5th trip to the ER in her short little 18 months of life. So glad we have insurance!

3 Hours and an X ray later she was home with the answer of, nothing could be seen on the xray (but the spoon was plastic, so...) We are to watch her for any number of symptoms given and take her back if we need too. Kinda a lame answer, but it could've been a lot worse. Ally did get a nice blanket out of it, so she was happy!

This is a picture of the culprit.  Just imagine one of the sides gone past where the points go down.  Ending up in the shape of a triangle.  Wish we had a picture of the actual one but the hospital wanted it.

This is her this afternoon, striking a pose after finishing lunch and her Oreo cookie!  So messy, yet cute!

Looks like a fun weekend. Yes your kids are DEFINITELY lacking in the buns department. I love watching those little tiny buns move around too! Waaaay cute! I'm so glad that miss Ally is ok after her spork incident. I love the final picture of her. She is so dang cute!

Holy cow, Ally looks old in that last pic. How come they have to grow so darn fast?

That zoo slide is so fun. I can't believe you haven't been on it since we all went together. That was a while ago.

Good luck with the spork piece...

(By the way, all our animals are Ty Pluffies, like Ally's monkey. We bought a second piggy years ago, but piggy has still not needed to be replaced (and piggy is definitely still loved and hugged), so we've never gotten replacements for the others.)
