Long weeks

January brought sickness, lots of it which I hoped was over since February started okay. Then came the very sudden passing of my Father in law on the 7th.

We had a couple long days between the 7th and the 11th. The 11th was our 8th anniversary.  It came and went without much acknowledgment.  Not a big deal really, but I would have rather it gone better than it did.  Aaron came home from somewhere (oh, getting his and Jared's haircut) and ran to the bathroom with an upset tummy.  Didn't think too much of it, but then Jared suddenly puked.  OH CRAP!  Jared was alright after 1 good empty.

We got everyone in bed, then Ally started.  She continued on and off all night.  I then joined in.

That was Tuesday when that all started. Carys never got sick.  I love her for that!  There were things that were suppose to happen with planning and getting things set for the coming Funeral Saturday, but we were in no position to help now.  CRAP!

My parents were set to come on Friday, but really with all the tummy issues I didn't know if that was still going to be a plan. They might have to drive up that morning but then the pass started finally getting the much need snowfall, and I didn't know if that was even going to be an option.

Tummy's settled down after a few days, but then FEVER GALORE!  Have I said CRAP!?  Ally was hit the worse. She is so sensitive.  The fevers hit Thursday night and continued for days and days.  My parents still came Valentines day and we were able to go practice the kids' song, but Ally sure wasn't feeling well.  Jared too was getting hit with the crud, but was doing a bit better at that point.

Anyway, here are a couple shots of their Valentines.  Like I said they were sick, but they did get handed out eventually.

Ally and I made these little flowers

Carys and I made these little goody bags with cute things on the bottom.

Jared totally loved these.
Used bags of Doritos and Cheetos

Saturday (the day of the funeral) came. It snowed all day. Ally and Jared both sick, but they can do their short little part.  Mom and I headed to the store to pick up the flowers Aaron and I ordered and then headed off for the day.  Mom brought the kids last minute, since they were dragging.

The service went well and I couldn't help being proud of my kids.  They were very well behaved and did their part great. They sang "Families can be Together Forever" with some cousins.  After the service and the cemetery part there was a luncheon.  It was there that Ally really started feeling icky.  I took the kids home and got them in bed for some rest.

The evening was spent resting and being quite.

The next morning Jared and Ally were sicker, so Mom and I kept the kids home from church while Aaron and Dad went to the first hour.  Snoqualmie also was a big mess and worry.  The sooner the better for them to get over.  They got over before things got real bad again.

That night Ally got sick again. This time the puking didn't stop.  We had put a call into the doc earlier that evening and he was starting to think pneumonia.  He said it was up to us if we wanted to take her into the ER, and at that point we decided to wait.  Once she took another turn for the worse we decided enough was enough.

So to turn this a bit shorter, Ally was diagnosed with pneumonia Sunday, Jared Monday and the Friday Carys was diagnosed with Roseola, Upper Respiratory infection and dehydration.

It has been one of the longest 2 and a half weeks.  Seems like we have done nothing but the world has continued to go by. We have now started another week.  A week that I'm hoping is a new start.  It hasn't been a very good 2014 so far and I (as well as the rest of the family) could use some good times, with little or no stress, and no sickness. The kids are feeling a bit better.  Not 100% but better.

Here is a clip of what the kids sang.  This was taken yesterday. They were being a bit special. This is them though.  Carys cracks me up.  She totally loves this song.

How is life going for you all?
