"Do the Puyallup!"

"You can do it at a trot you can do it at a gallop, you can do it real slow so your heart won't palpitate. Just don't be late. Do the Puyallup."

Even though it isn't called the Puyallup fair anymore, we still call it that.  I think it will be a hard one for us Western Washington folks, (heck maybe even others that have been around for a long time,) to not call it The Puyallup Fair.

Anyway I didn't make a blog post whining about a name change.

I went over to Tacoma with my 3 kiddos last weekend and we hit the fair. We went Saturday morning just as the gates opened.  We spent a good 4 and a half hours there.  Which was long enough with a 2, 4, and 6 year old.  They got their fill on rides, animals and people watching.  Right before we left they got some cotton candy and a treat to play with.

Jared and Ally loved the rides.  Carys has lately started being scared of heights so the rides weren't a big hit with her.  She screamed and cried and was just plain unhappy.  To add to it she was sick and getting sicker.  Since we've been home they have all been put on meds to help with Sinus infections, and pneumonia.  Poor kiddos.

Yes I think this is 3 posts in a row that the kids have been sick or just getting over something.  It's been a gnarly few months.

Anyway, here are some pictures.

First a little background on what Carys talked about for days and days.  All she kept saying was "I want to ride the up and down horsys and eat cotton candy."  She said it all the way to the fair.  Now look at her face in this shot.  Nice huh! From that moment on she didn't want to ride anything.

Ally, Jared and I are at the very top waiting to get our turns.

The kids wanted to "drive."
Jared went with this other kid who needed a partner

Carys actually did this one and smiled.  I didn't know if she would actually sit and enjoy it, but she did.

Jared and Ally floating the river.

Ally went twice cuz we paid for Carys too, who then threw a major fit.  We didn't want to lose 7 tickets.

We filled our belly's with "healthy fair food" and then saw the 5D movie.
The kids thought it was great.

We had just enough tickets at the end of the day for Nana and Papa to take the 3 on the train.  I believe Carys enjoyed this one.

Now on a completely different matter.  I don't think I ever posted any pictures of this twerp in his soccer uniform.  His shirt says Mid-State Co-op. KVJSA.  This was taken Saturday before his first real game.  Yes he had his Jamboree, but this was a full length game.

Oh and just so you know I was actually at the fair, Mom got this awesome picture.  Me listening to a voice mail while Ally petted a horse. Aren't you glad you scrolled down to the very end?  sure!
