The view from freeloader hill, also known as Craig's Hill.
The kids loved going up the hill on looking down at the fair, mainly the Ferris wheel.
Last year and this year my parents decided to join us. They also had other things to do while here, one being to bring over some furniture that I sold for them, and also bring furniture over for us.
So, this weekend in pictures.
This girl is such a poser, which you will see more of in this post.

Pose #2
While watching the parade.
Aaron's mom Carole bought all the kids matching outfits to take a picture in after the parade was over. Since Jared is the oldest he was put in charge of holding Mailey (or as we told him "keep her safe" during the pictures.) I thought this was a cute one. He did a good job.
The crew. Note Jared's face. Mailey drooled on him. Even with the look of disgusted and unbelief, he held on. Had to give him props for that. I know some kids would have just dropped and freaked.
All cleaned up and he was happier.
The kids from L-R
Jared, Mailey, Makenna, Carys, Allyson, Casen and Libby
We have several different shots but these were the best.

After the Parade we went home, and got the kids rested and ready for the fair.
This year Ally was able to do all the rides that she was interested in. Of course there were still the "big kid" rides that I'm sure she couldn't do but she wasn't turned away from any kid ones this year.
Like I mentioned before the kids liked looking at the Ferris wheel but I didn't think they would actually want to get on it, once they saw how high it went, but I was wrong. Jared and Ally both went on with Aaron and I.
They all had their first tastes of Cotton Candy.
It was a hit!
We played a couple games.
They all came home with a special toy.
Carys' reaction, to not being allowed to go on the roller coaster.
Though I don't think she would have liked it anyway.
Ally and I went first, then Jared decided he wanted to go, so Ally and I went a second time with Aaron and Jared.

Finally a ride for Carys
She was happy for 1 time around then it turned into tears.
Hold me NANA!
Good times were had by all. We were there about 3 hours and it was plenty of time. The kids all had fun, well, Carys sorta had fun. It will be more fun for her next year. Thanks for the fun.

This was a good day, except for Carys and, come to think of it, the next day wasn't much better for her!
I love fairs! Love them even more when grandparents join us! :)
The fair looks like fun. We haven't been to one in a while. We'll need to find one here.
(Who are the other "grandkids" in the picture?)
And good luck with homeschooling. It looks like they've really organized it, and set it up for you, so that's great! You don't have to reinvent the wheel. :)
