We stopped at the main beach when we got there and let everyone out. The kids were thrilled to get out of the car and see the "big pool" as they called it.
The tide was out when we first got there, but was slowly coming in. The kids were enjoying walking in the water and running away as it came closer. This is when Carys' day was ruined. Carys was splashing around next to us when the 7th wave hit. It was a biggy too. We all ran away, but Carys didn't stand a chance. The wave hit her over and soon covered her. I turned to noticed what happened and ran back pulling her out of the water. She was totally immersed in the water and when I pulled her out she was a mess.
This is a picture Aaron took from the van. He had gone back to grab the camera and had no idea what was going on or what he was taking a picture of. I had just pulled Carys out of the water.

Carys all dried off, but not happy. This poor girl wasn't very happy the rest of the day.
She never went back down to the water, which was alright. Someone else just stayed back with her.

Carys had a thing against built castles. She would find one and then kill it.
That's my cutie
We left the beach once the tide came up to our van tires suddenly. We left and looked around at the little stores and then decided to try some bumper boats and putt putt golf.
We then stopped for dinner and went to the Jetti.

The Jetti in the evening right before sundown.
We had a good time minus a few hiccups, but what trip doesn't have some hiccups. Some got a bit redder then we were before, and some of us are still hurting, but it was a good day.

It was a Great Day. It was fun too to reminisce about all the family memories of our summers there.
Sounds like a fun day! Hopefully Carys won't be scared of the water next time. :)
I'm sure you'll figure out what's best for Jared too. :)
Now I want to go to Ocean Shores! And eat oreos! :)
