The last little while.

The majority of what I am going to mention has happened just during this last week.  There have been quite a few changes in our home.

First of all, Carys is walking.  All the time walking now.  As much as it is great that she is finally on her feet, saving her poor little knees from anymore abuse (the were so red, raw and dry) it is sad that her original form of movement has ended.  Her knees are looking quite a bit better already.

Second, Carys is also working on getting a tooth on top in the middle.  Most babies I know and I think normally, get the middle 2 top and bottom teeth first.  Carys, is a different bread.  She walked on her knees, and she didn't get her top middle teeth.  She got the next ones over, the Lateral incisors.  So in other words she looked like a vampire.  Yet again another cute thing that will soon be gone.  I love my quirky little baby. I don't know if I can even call her a baby anymore.

Third, Allyson has decided that potty time is great.  She started using the potty all the time this last Wednesday and has been doing great ever since.  She wears a pull up when we are out of the house still, but otherwise she is great.  She always keeps the pull up dry I should add! I am one that totally believes that when the child is ready they will let you know.  I am 2 for 2 now with letting them tell me, and both times the child has taken it on and succeeded in the first day.  I am so happy for her, and me to be honest!

Forth, I got Jared signed up for Kindergarten (maybe.)  In the last post I told you our plans, with trying to get him into Damman.  I got the letters, and the forms we needed and went to the Kindergarten registration Friday morning.  I filled out all the forms and was the First one there to sign up out of District, which will help, but I was told that we won't know for sure if he will be accepted until the very end of August or possibly the beginning of September.  I can't believe I have to wait THAT long.  To me and his teacher he has now, that is ridiculous.  Yes I realize that in district kids get first priority, and I'm not fighting that at all, that is fine, but really, I have to wait to the very last minute to know.  What about planning and getting school supplies and getting him used to the idea.  Jared is not a kid that can take sudden change well.

ANYWAY!

Sunday was Easter as I'm sure you are aware.  We had a bigger Easter than usual.  Usual the Easter Bunny doesn't bring big things, but Allyson has been wanting a "Big Girl Princess Bike" (that is what she calls it.) Usually Big things like bikes are left for big days like Birthdays and Christmas but with my kids Birthdays being in the late fall, when the weather is getting nasty there is no point getting bikes then. They just sit here not being used for 4-5 months. SHE LOVES IT.  Of course I found a matching helmet.  You have to be styling while riding a princess bike!

Here she is yesterday trying it out.

Jared had also been asking for a Tablet.  He loves playing on Tablets and there are so many neat learning tools and games that you can get for them, so in order to keep things monetarily (is that a word) the same he was brought a LeapPad.  HE LOVES IT!  He especially loves his Star Wars reading game.

Carys, well Carys just goes with the flow.  She is so awesome and laid back.  The Easter Bunny brought her a couple Vtech toys that make all sorts of cool music and sounds.  She thinks they are fun, and especially loves the little microphone.

Easter afternoon we went to Aaron's folks and had Easter Dinner then the kids went out and found eggs.  They had a good time finding all the eggs they could.  Carys wasn't too sure about walking on the grass, especially since their yard slopes a little.  She wasn't feeling too sure about it, but eventually got more comfortable.

I think I have some good lookin' kids that are pretty photogenic!

Jared had another T-ball practice yesterday and it was quite entertaining to watch.  I will tell the story with pictures.

They started with taking turns trying to hit a ball thrown by the Coach and if they couldn't after 3 pitches,  the "T" was brought out and they were allowed to keep swinging until they got a hit then they ran to the bases.

Waiting his turn

Jared getting a hit!

After they had their turns hitting and running bases they then played outfield.

Jared got teamed up with Caden again, which is fun for him and Caden but the 2 of them have a little too much fun and get distracted and start losing focus and well, you will see what happens.
Um, what are you doing on the ground boys?

Deep in conversation.

Uh, oh! This is T-ball not boxing!

Coach giving them a 2 on 1.  He wasn't mad, he actually thought it was quite funny.

All better and doing what is told.  Pretend to hit a grand slam and run the bases.
Look how much smaller he is then these boys!  My little Peanut!

Well here he is running.  The thing is, he is not really following the line to first base.  I think maybe if he was paying attention earlier he would have known that!  GOOBER!

At the end of practice he got his shirt and hat.  He is going to be styling on Saturday.  Yes, his first game is Saturday, and I think it will be quite the show to watch. Hopefully he will be paying more attention!
