So going in order of oldest to youngest...
Jared has been...um, well, a handful lately. I'm not really sure what is going on with him. Is it adjustment, is it called being 4, or is it something totally different. We are trying a new approach with a reward system to see if it helps promote good decisions and good behavior. Good behavior means adding a marble, bad, loose a marble. So many marbles earn a treat. Whoever said that 4 is easier than 3 was full of it! I can only hope that we can get things settled soon.
On the positive side, he is a great big brother and still loves and asks to help, hold and do things for Carys.

Allyson has turned into a little repeater the last few weeks. She still babbles in "Al-ish", but she will use "real" words too, and she will repeat words for you now which she couldn't, or wouldn't do before. We are so glad that she is finally starting to use more words.
She has a love for music that comes out with her dancing or singing. It is great to watch.

Our latest addition Carys is doing pretty well. At her last appointment she was up to 7 pounds 3 ounces! She had gained 4 ounces past her birth weight so Doc was very happy.
We are working on her ears right now. She has had 3 tests and so far she hasn't been cleared. The first 2 which happened the day after birth and then last week she failed. Today I took her to an Audiology clinic where she didn't "Pass" either. We aren't totally sure why she isn't passing. Is it her size, her age, or is there a real issue? Her ear canals are so petite and small, so it is really hard to get a good fit with the probes and she needs to be very still and quiet. We were able to get a few markers on the screen in the normal range, but nowhere near the amount that normally should appear. So we are waiting 3 weeks and going back to the clinic for another try. If there is no change then we are either being sent to Children's or to Yakima for Electrode testing.
Besides her ears she is doing well. She has started having more moments of awake time lasting about 45 minutes a day. She is a pretty laid back little lady.

That is the latest as of today. This week and weekend brings more things that will be mentioned soon. Both Jared and Ally have their check-ups. Aaron starts his 2nd job. Last but not least, family is coming back over for Carys' blessing this coming Sunday. Til then!

We have a difficult 4 year old as well. I thought 3 was hard, but 4 is much worse. You're not alone. We need to put Jared and Amy in a room together and give ourselves a break!
