Jared found Allysons hat the other day and wanted to wear it. Honestly I think he looks good, yes it is a girly hat, but he still looks cute.
Ally decided that she wanted her sweater on her head. She got offended when I removed it. Please ignore the runny nose. It's a constant struggle to keep her snot free.
RSV update for those who don't know. I'm afraid to say this outloud but I THINK the kids are turning the corner. It's been another very long few weeks, with little going on, except doctor appointments, nebulizing, lack of sleep, and hoping no more Hospital trips were/are in the future.
Last Friday at our Dr. appointment, their Dr. asked us to bring Ally back in Monday so he could look her over again, that was as long as she didn't need to be seen over the weekend. He did not like how she was sounding. Luckily for us we made it through the weekend without any Dr visits. Monday I took her in, thinking it was going to be a quick check, but that wasn't the case. She had lost a little more weight and her Pulse Ox was too low. They would let her go home with no worries at all if she at 95% or higher. Her highest number was 89%. Dr ordered a breathing treatment there at the office so we did that and 15 minutes later we re-checked it, thinking that after the treatment her lungs would be more open, but no the percentage actually went down. WHAT??
The next step would be hospitalization and given oxygen, but Dr and I both agreed that we wanted to stay out of there and try to handle this on our own. But if things weren't any better and obviously if they were worse that was the only other thing to do. So we were allowed to go home but given strict instructions and warnings to watch for. And I was scheduled to bring her right back in the morning for another check.
Tuesday Morning at 9 I was back at the Dr. with Ally. A few more ounces lost but her Oxygen was up 3 points! She was at 91%, still not great, but an improvement non the least and we were both glad to see that! She is finally starting to sound a bit better and she is starting to sleep better too. And as you can see in the pictures she is smiling again! We were so happy when she smiled a few days ago. We missed that smile.
Jared is doing a bit better too. He deserves a note too. His voice is almost back to normal (good or bad?) The boy can talk your ear off if you let him. He is acting a bit more normal, with wanting to play and run.
So, the low down is - Fevers are gone, so we are just working on getting rid of the coughs, runny noses, and wheezing. And learning to eat again.
Hey at least 1 thing is gone right!?

Lovely to see pix of them feeling well!!! Love those cute grins!
I'm sorry your kids have had such a rough winter! I'm glad things seem to be getting better.
Jared in Ally's pants cracks me up. And Ally with her sweater on her head reminds me so much of Sadie.
I love their smiles!
