First we have Jared. Skin and bones boy, green/hazel eyes with a love of all things Minecraft, Pokémon, Lego and the sort. He loves playing and trying all sorts of sports. He does wrestling, baseball, soccer and wants to do swimming, ice hockey and football. We shall see, we shall see.
He is our boy. He is our smart, kind allergy ridden boy, and we love him. Allergy shots were put on hold last week due to him being sick, but we started them up again today. He did great and I couldn't be happier with him. One thing that we are having an issue with, is him talking to us instead of holding everything in and making us figure out what is bothering him. He internalizes everything. Anyone got a magic pill for that?
Next we have Allyson. Our gray/blue eyed glasses sportin', skin and bones, taller than every other 6 year old girl I know. She is a crack up. She loves life and everything in it. She has always been our animal lover. She loves music and dancing, and has really enjoyed learning to swim this last month. She is also a lover of softball and soccer. I think she would also love gymnastics since she is our monkey girl.
Ally is thriving in school and absolutely loves it. She was sick with everyone else this last week and the week before, and was so saddened that school was put on hold. She is also very random child who bursts out with the most usual things and the most usual times, but we love that about her. With that being said she is our girly girl. Must be pretty, must be pink or purple, and must be beautifully done up. She is so funny in that regard. She has to be all pretty, but that doesn't stop her from climbing the trees.
Then there is the baby of the family, the caboose. Carys is awesome and has beautiful dark blue eyes. She is a bit of a mix of both Jared and Ally. She is a very bright, quick thinker like Jared, but then totally bizarre and hilarious like Ally. Carys has always been a doer, a woman of her own. She doesn't follow what the others are doing. She is happy doing her own thing. She loves her princesses, but she loves her dinos too. She is our singer as well. I often hear her singing away while she is playing playdoh.
So with the above mentioned things about my kids here are their choices for their new bedding we got them.
Sure, makes sense. All sporty and whatnot.
Not surprised at all.
Sorry for the blurry shot.
Cellphone
Oh, yes totally Ally. Pretty, pink, horses, flowers etc...
Again totally suits her.
So happy with her new bedding.
Then there is Carys.
Totally cracked me up. I thought she might go with a matching one like Ally's. There were also lots of other pretty ones, but she was bound and determined to have the dino's. Even with her siblings trying to persuade her in another direction. She was good with her choice and I love that about her.
Totally fits her to a "T"
Again sorry. Cell phone shots.
Carys on her new bedding and her Enderman.
So, moving on this last week brought our Anniversary and Valentines day. Our anniversary was pretty quiet. The kids were sick, I was sick and so...well the last 2 before this one were way lame too, so I guess we are just keeping up the tradition. It is fine really.
The day after our anniversary was Carys' school valentines party. We made Valentines for the friends and for the teachers. We also made a special treat to go to the party.
Oh, one thing all the kids have in common is a love of being naked, or just in their undies.
Chocolate dipped pretzels
A few days later was Valentines.
Valentines really is a dumb "holiday" in my opinion. It is a filler between Christmas and Easter in my book. It has always been pretty low key, but of course we acknowledge it and make sure those we love, know we love them.
Some people buy toys and whatnot, but I think that is too much. We do simple and fun.
I bought everyone a really big chocolate bar and decorated the house with hearts.
Maybe that is lame, but I don't buy into the whole overdoing it for every "holiday."
That being said, I do get them fun "LOVE" shirts and I do the girls hair with hearts.
The Valentines that we delivered.
Minecraft Creepers,
Kisses with fun stickers on the bottom
and
Tootsie pop flowers.
That's all she wrote.

Lovely. One day you'll back on your "Family Journal" and be so glad you did it.
Jenna would love Allys bedding. Where did you get it?
Such cute kiddos you have. I just wished you lived closer.
