Thanksgiving

Before we end November I should update on what has happened since my last post on the 10th.

The weekend after the kids' party we had family pictures done with the Rhodes' side.  Mitchell wanted to do this as a Christmas gift for all, so we set out in the bitter cold and tried to get some pictures.  We were able to get a couple shots of Jared and Ally that turned out nice, but Carys well, she was a different story.

A sample of each kid

Yes, honestly this is the best shot we got. She was so cold, and just didn't want to be apart of this whole ordeal.  All the kids were freezing, their teeth were chattering.  It actually snowed that morning.

The rest of November was just the normal mundane stuff.  Work, school and the kids had their Well-child checks, which I think I mentioned.  They are all doing well health-wise, which is wonderful.

So in closing I will end with Thanksgiving.
On the Monday before Thanksgiving everyone choose one thing that they were thankful for and wrote it on a leaf that we then hung up on the wall. We did this through Thanksgiving evening.

Our list included:
Fire Fighters, Friends, Family, Home, Job, Milk, Police Officers, Toys, Gospel, Soldiers, Freedom, Health, Blessings, and then they all also named their lovies.
Of course there are many more things that we are thankful for, but this is a great start. I love that the kids, mainly Jared thought outside of his toys.  He is the one who mentioned, Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Soldiers.

A quick note about Jared, the very first night we hung up the first 5 leaves.  He looked at them and said, "In 4 days there will be 20 leaves."  I chuckled in awe and disbelief, but said, "yes, Jared you're right, and smart!"  I guess he has moved passed addition and subtraction and gone straight to multiplication.  That boy!

This weekend we headed over to Tacoma for the weekend.  It went pretty well, not including the Asthma issues and the Rash that Carys got (satsumas do not like her, or at least not 2 of them in 1 night.)  Besides that though, Aaron and I were able to go to a concert at the Key Arena.  I had never been to a concert like this before, Aaron either for that matter.  We had a great time.  I have been surprised how much fun Aaron had. It was Christmasy music after all and for those of you who don't know, Aaron is kind of like the Grinch when it comes to Christmas, but he has been listening to the CD we got and others by them ever since Saturday night.  HA HA HA!  I'm rubbing off!

It was a great time.  He is looking forward to next year.  We actually want more family to come next year.  Who wants to watch the kids for us?  It was WAY TOO LOUD and bright for them, especially Jared.

Now onto feeling a bit better. I came down with a major migraine headache Monday and I'm still not feeling great, these seem to knock me for days when I get them. I was diagnosed about 9 months ago, and this is the route it seems to take. Once the headache is pretty much gone, I stay really dizzy (dizzier than normal that is) for a few more days. Anyway, I'm going to try to get the Thanksgiving things put away today so we can decorated for Christmas soon.

"Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat!"
