Today was a big day for Allyson. She is now a Speech Therapy Graduate. I was pretty sure that today she was going to be cleared of any other sessions, but I wasn't certain. Ruth Ann was more than pleased by how much she had progressed with her speech. Allyson has a tendency to not talk much around others, even family, but after about an hour she warmed up and proved my point. Kids have a tendency to prove you a lier, but she didn't this time.She is very mechanical (like her Mama) and Ruth Ann said that according to the Rossetti Test that she is measuring in the 30 - 32 month levels in understanding, and mechanical wise. She is 26 months, so there she is ahead. For verbal skills she is at 24 months. Just where she should be.
We were pretty sure when we started this that she was the strong and silent type and it goes to show that we were right. When she has something to say, she let's us know. She is not dumb or slow like some may have thought since she doesn't talk talk talk like some her age. She just doesn't have anything to say, or just doesn't want to.
She talks a lot around us and is very cute when she does. We love her little words for things and we are very happy that she has started saying more things and is obviously on the right track. Good job Allyson!

She's the strong and silent type, like her Papa Steve. Her language is so cute and she certainly has no problem letting you know what she wants or especially, doesn't want.
Yay! Linnea is not as much of a talker as Emma was. She doesn't say coherent words but she makes a ton of sounds. I'm glad Ally is fine. :)
I hope no one actually said or implied that Ally was slow or dumb. Every child is different, and I applaud you for taking her in to be evaluated and treated. Way to go, Ally! Keep up the good talking. :)
